BUDA Hat League T-shirts
My closet door is becoming harder to get closed. Inside and sprawling out in to the bedroom are way too many T-shirts, many from years of playing in the BUDA Hat Leagues. So, as a project, I dive in to get a count.
Making a tally of the unique BUDA leagues Ts and assuming I have not tossed or lost any, the total is twenty six thirty four. Whoa!
Since I was playing with 12 Fluid Ounces in the Corporate/Open league and skipped a bunch of summer hat league, this is not a complete collection.
Summer 1992 was the first time I signed up for BUDA (although I did play with BACUL (Boston Area Corporate Ultimate League in 87/88). I was fortunate to play on a team with Gary Bernard. Gary is not everyone's favorite, but he has great spirit and he got me revved up about playing. And there have been a lot of great folks playing with and against in the years since.
If I archive these Ts digitally, perhaps I can let go and discard a few of these. I will have to check with the league and see if they have been keeping an archive. It would be impressive to see if some historian/archivist has the full set.
Addendum, Saturday, December 2nd, 2006: catch up with four additional shirts.
Addendum next, Monday, January 14th, 2008: another three seasons, another three shirts.
Addendum again, Saturday, November 1st, 2008: one more.

I can make you a quilt out of all of the shirts in order to preserve them, but not keep them all... course you're about third in line at this point in quilts I have to make...
