Vacation in Chatham

Last week we had a very nice time in Chatham on Cape Cod. Except for a touch of fog (fifth inning fog!) the weather was splendid. The Graybills joined us for the first half of the week. Lots of beach time along with mini-golf and taking in two games of the Chatham A's.

Dave & Trish had the inspiration that if their annual Fourth of July party was not actually on the Fourth of July, they would get a better turnout. Yesterday was this year's day, an ideal day and a very, very good time.

Our contribution was this blueberry pie. It was "criticized" for being too small, but all in all, there was no shortage of good food.

Thanks to the energy and vision of Jose Invencio, four GrandMasters teams assembled Sunday, June 26th for the 2005 Boston Invitational at Devens, MA. I got connected to Jose's team, WiPPed and we played through a hot, hot, hot day to earn our runner's up trophy.

Instructions of the Opera

Our homepages on The World have been retired. Karen's Emerick Arts has been rehosted.

This month would have seen the twelveth anniversary of our account at Software Tool & Die's ISP, since 1989, the first public dialup Internet Service Provider on the planet. But we have not been on dialup for a few years, and the account was nearly unused.

The title, "Instructions of the Opera", of my homepage was a bit of whimsy. A defaced sign on the subway originally read, "In the event of an emergency, please follow the instructions of the operator". More than a few of my rides on the T need only a score and a few songs in Italian to morph into a tragi-comic opera.

Key lime pie

Jordi and Jen come over for an impromptu cookout. Just enough time to schlep to the store for a pre-fab graham cracker crust and a carton of cream.

Jordi is now off to meet up with friends to see the Aquabats. Ah, these youngsters and their music.
