We spend our third weekend doing an open house to sell our home of twenty-some years. Weekends one and two saw very nice weather, but yesterday was rain and rain is forecast for most of the rest of the week.

Rainy weather suits the overcast mood overhang the Nation following the Red Sox' exit from the 2005 playoffs. They had their chances, but unlike last year, they just did not capitalize. Wait till next year.
We had a broker bring over a second relocation client. One of our first showings was a couple from Cincinnati, the Mr coming here to work for Gillette, now owned by P&G. Today's Mr (the Mrs was still in Ohio) also told the same story. Meet the new boss ...
After the showing, no longer needing a spotless kitchen, and having some apples and cranberries left over from a cranberry-apple crisp made last Thursday, it was pie time! Not my best effort; it could have used some more baking time.
Meanwhile, we await word on tonight's Buda Fall hat game in Lexington. I am extremely skeptical the game is on, but Buda has not made it official yet, promising to announce at 4PM. This just in: postponed till August 26th,
