Karen & I were invited to Joy's Christmas eve party in Gloucester. A few days prior, my eye was caught by a tub of cranberries at the market. It sounded plausible to mix that in to a pecan pie. A subsequent google confirmed my intuition. Make one pie, might as well make two. One was taken to the party, and one stayed home.
It is not extraordinary that we were in Gloucester Christmas eve, but rather that we were not in Pennsylvania with family at Sue & Jeff's. This will likely be more common as we split holidays with Jen & Jordi with Jordi's family in Miami. But we will squeeze in a PA visit when J & J return north. The visit this year will be for New Year's.
