I am not telling you anything you do not already know: this is not a true blog. I am a week behind in posting this pic of the ladies as we take our traditional "back on the road" snapshot. Do other folks do that, take get out the camera and line everyone up, after packing up the car, and before driving off to return home?

It was a very nice visit, with day trips to the Adams Family (one "m") homes, the Wachusett Brewery, Kimball Farm, and the DeCordova Museum.

Oh yeah, and a store bought peach pie. We were just too busy to do some baking.

For my birthday dinner, we chose Max Stein's. This is the restaurant that replaced the Hartwell House where Jen & Jordi had their wedding and reception. These occassions call for a family pic, and so:

We enjoyed the meal, the service, and the setting (dark and quiet), but it was a bit pricey. There are a lot of very good restaurants in the area, so I don't place this one up at the very top.

I was off at my nice, quiet office while the tree service gave the trees in our backyard a buzz cut. No human victims were fed into the woodchipper, so far as I know.
