Best not so much better than the worst
Garrison Keillor proclaims: the best pumpkin pie you ever have had is not all that much better than the worst. I don't know, I am fond of pumpkin pie. Surprised myself when I checked this entry into the blog and discover that it is the first representative here.

This pie was snapped with a newly acquired accessory, a 0.7 wide angle adapter.
It has been a while since I last posted. The following should have appeared at Halloween. No relation to today's featured pie.

It is officially National Pie Week, what with Thanksgiving around the corner.
Your pumpkin pie looks "delish", as RR would say. But I have to ask: canned or fresh? My favorite TV show cook these days is Alton Brown. He's a fan of sweet potato pie, mostly because fresh is easier than dealing with straight up pumpkin.
Trial pie tomorrow. IF it comes out OK, I'll give you a call.
PS: Your pumpkin shot reminds me--I need to drag out my pictures and upload our pumpkin to my blog. That should get me off the Red Sox kick.

National Pie Week coincides with Thanksgiving? Yes, that makes all the sense in the world. Full disclosure: canned pumpkin, Pillsbury roll out crust. The crust had been sitting in the fridge since the last pie, and I just wanted to do a little house cleaning. One dietary twist: Karen prevailed upon me to substitute soy milk for evaporated.
