About two years ago, Jen took on four foster kittens. These white with black spots cats were named after the Weasley's of Harry Potter: Ron, George, Fred, and Ginny. The demand side of cat adoption has been weak of late, and these animals have not found the right adoption situation.
In a spooky echo to Cassie's passing, we found Ron had died in his sleep a few weeks later. That left Jen's menagerie at six, and ours at one. To rebalance this situation, Karen and I took on Ginny the week before Christmas.
Ginny started very skittish towards us. She would never let us get close. In the past couple of days, she is relaxing and this looks like it will work out. She loves the petting and brushing now.
