Yom Kippur

We got together for dinner last Thursday to observe Yom Kippur. I put together an apple pie starting with a sack of Empire apples and pre-made Pillsbury pie crust. The ingredient of note was a spoonful of Ceylon cinnamon from Penzeys Spices. The pie went fast.

Josie at the playground

Karen and I were over visiting our granddaughter both days this weekend. On Saturday, I was doing some repair work on the hand-me-down changing table after Jen's cats had distressed the newly applied fabric. Along the way, we made a visit to the nearby playground. Josie does not sit still, and after she hopped off a low seat on the jungle gym there, I got out my camera and made this two minute video.
